DALNET Members Go Live in MeLCat
Participating DALNET libraries are now live for borrowing in
MeLCat. The DALNET office is pleased that this new resource
sharing service is now available to DALNET patrons.
MeLCat will be working throughout the beginning of November to finish
loading approximately 750,000 bibliographic records from DALNET
libraries. Once the records are loaded DALNET members will also
participate in lending resources through this state-wide interlibrary
loan service.
DALNET Educational Forums
The final DALNET Educational Forum of the year was held October

DALNET's 25th Anniversary year, useful and enlightening.
RDA Training from MCLS at WSU
Training titled
Introduction to RDA will be offered by MCLS
on Monday, November 15, at Wayne State University. Presenters
will deliver an RDA information session. There is a $50.00 charge for

MLA Leadership Academy
Congratulations to Carla Caretto (Rochester College), Julia Eisenstein
(University of Detroit Mercy), Caryn Noel (Adam Cardinal Maida Alumni
Library), and Laura Taylor (Macomb Community College)! They have been
selected to be a part of the redesigned 2010-2011 MLA Leadership
Academy. Cathy Wolford, DALNET systems librarian, is a member of the
MLA Leadership Academy Advisory Commission.
