Work Groups Scheduled, Ready to Tackle Charge

The DALNET office has scheduled initial meetings for all work groups in March and April.  Meeting schedules have been sent out and are available online here.

All work groups will be tackling the same charge:

System work groups are charged with assessing the system needs of the consortium in their defined areas and to develop a list of criteria for future system selection.  Activity should include a survey for the membership for each particular area being studied.

Outcomes:

    • Survey tool for membership by June 2014
    • Status report for September 2014 Board meeting
    • Final criteria report due by November 2014 Board meeting

The Board and Executive Committee additionally will be developing a list of criteria that meet consortium purposes.

The DALNET office will coordinate with all groups, including the Board of Directors, and will administer all survey tools.

Horizon Reports Training

The DALNET office will host a Horizon Reports Training on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM in Lab C of Wayne State University's Undergraduate Library.  This will be a hands-on training wherein staff will discuss Bib Lists/Bookmarks, Bib Usage Statistics, View Only options, Search Filters and much more.  Come with report questions or email helpdesk@wayne.edu ahead of time with examples of reports you'd like to learn how to run.

Register here by March 14th.
