April 15th Enterprise User Training

Members may send staff to attend an Enterprise User Training session to immediately follow a brief Project Manager meeting on Monday, April 15, 2013. Participants will learn how to search Enterprise from a patron's perspective, including searching, narrowing searches, creating lists and sending text messages.  The meeting and training will take place at Wayne State University's Undergraduate Library's Lab B on the second floor.  Free parking is available at Detroit Public Library's staff lot off of Putnam.

Scheduled Upgrades for ILS Services

The DALNET office has scheduled a production Horizon ILS upgrade for the morning of May 2, 2013.  Horizon, HIP, and Enterprise will be updated at that time.  Staff client upgrades will be available as push clients.  Further information about the upgrade will be sent out to Project Managers before the upgrade.  Upgrade features include the addition of SMS (text messaging) capability for circulation notices, RDA cataloging updates and configurations for the system, and substantial upgrades to the Enterprise discovery catalog.
