Annual DALNET Membership Meeting a Success!


Over 70 staff members from 15 DALNET libraries attended the Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, August 24th at UDM's McNichols Campus Library.  UDM sponsored the morning session as planned by the Libraries/IDS Employee Development Committee chaired by Sally Young. Warren Graham, author of Black Belt Librarian, was guest speaker for the morning session. After lunch, Steven Bowers presented an overview of DALNET planning and projects and later, attendees broke into groups to discuss different topics including cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, electronic resources, DSpace, resource sharing and reference services. Thanks to UDM for hosting and to all our breakout session facilitators. Special thanks to all our attendees who made this meeting a success.

Call to Committees FY2013

The DALNET Board has adopted a strategic focus that has established an annual call to committees. The call to committees includes volunteer positions that have been identified for the fiscal year, October 1 - September 30. Committee work provides opportunities for service, achievement, and development.

In addition to the Board of Directors and Project Manager groups, DALNET has currently identified the Cataloging & Database Standards Committee, the Cost Allocation Task Force, and the Reciprocal Borrowing Committee to do work this fiscal year.
