The Henry Ford to Host Free Educators Workshop and Symposium

[December 15, 2005]
Join The Henry Ford on January 16, 2006, for an Educators Workshop and Symposium at the exhibit opening of With Liberty And Justice for All. The workshop will include an overview of the new exhibit as well as a preview of new curriculum materials for the exhibit including teacher guides and student exploration guides.

At the symposium participants will hear four critically-acclaimed scholars discuss the changing nature of freedom during four crucial eras in American history, Independence, Freedom and Union, Votes for Women and Civil Rights. Each speaker will focus on a specific era and discuss the key issues of each struggle in context of the challenges to American freedom today. Participate in a panel discussion including the four speakers. The event will feature critically-acclaimed scholars Jack Rakove, David Blight, Lonnie Bunch and Eleanor Clift in a symposium linking the challenges to freedom today with the struggles of the past. Following their presentation, join them in a public conversation.

Enjoy a look into With Liberty And Justice for All on its opening day.
