healthcalendar.org @ 9th Annual Living Without Limitations Expo

May 8, 2003 was an exciting day at for the DALNET Electronic Services - Health Subcommittee. healthcalendar.org was showcased at the 9th Annual Living without Limitations Expo for Persons with Disabilities held at Cobo Conference Center and sponsored by DALNET member Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM). RIM is a national leader in the deliver of physical medicine and rehabilitation, and one of the country's largest freestanding, academic rehabilitation hospitals. RIM is aimed at helping persons with disabilities reach the highest level of functioning, independence and productivity.

Cathy Eames (Children's Hopsital of Michigan), Chair of the Health Subcommittee, along with Duryea Callaway (DALNET Staff) and Jackie Wrosch (DALNET Staff) had a laptop computer with them and demonstrated for the medical professionals and patients present how they can use and benefit from healthcalendar.org. Special thanks to Daria Drobny (Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan) who helped facilitate DALNET's participation in the Expo. And also to Elaine Hendriks (DALNET Staff) who made sure there was a fabulous banner to identify the booth and promotional key chains to distribute. Since the Expo, DALNET has had many more institutions register, and received many phone calls praising the health calendar and the people working the booth. Thank you!
